I grew up at Long Creek, N.C. and fished tidal waters until I enlisted in the United States Air Force.  During my 20 year career I was stationed in Alaska, S. Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas.  I worked in the supply, medical, security and safety career fields during these 20 years.  When I retired in 2005 I decided to call Arkansas home.

My wife Charlotte is my biggest supporter in my endeavors to fish as much as possible.  Without her making hotel and travel arrangements for me and taking care of the small stuff, my fishing career would be a whole lot harder than it is.  We have 3 children Stephanie, Kevin and Duane.  They are all adults now and I'm proud to say they can and have been standing on their own. 

I started out fishing small clubs which I continue to compete in each year.  A grass roots club is a great place to keep your skills sharp.  I have competed in  BFL,  Weekend Series and American Bass Anglers and plan to continue fishing these as well.   

After I retired I started making fishing tackle as a hobby. Word got out about what I was using in tournaments and Pactac was born.  The entire time I have been making and selling my tackle I have always ensured a quality product for a reasonable price.  For the last 3 years I have used my tackle almost exclusively in tournaments and the results have been outstanding.  I don't always win but I have done well for myself with Pactac.
