2011 Youth Events
Anvil Jaw held it's annual Casting Kid's event mid January during the 2011 Boat & Tackle show held at the Little Rock Convention Center. From beginner to well seasoned junior anglers all had fun competing in this event. We had a whole lot of budding anglers join in the fun and we would like to recognize those with the top scores.

ANVIL JAW JR BASS CLUB held their first bass tournament Saturday at Pine Bluff harbor, due to heavy flow conditions on the river. Despite the crowded conditions in the harbor, JR ANGLERS caught a lot of fish, but found catching fish over the 15” mark a challenge. At the end of the tournament 3 out of the 8 anglers brought fish to the scales.
1st PLACE and BIG BASS: Cameron Nesterenko , 3 fish at 5.78lbs.
Big Bass 3.39lbs.
2nd PLACE: Ryan Wass 1 fish 2.02lbs
3rd PLACE: Walker Tackett 1 fish 1.90lbs
We would also like to thank Anvil Jaw members Perry Kincade and Casey Jones for providing boats for 2 of our Jr. Anglers.

Anvil Jaw Jr. Bass Anglers fished their 2nd tournament at Maumelle Pool on the Arkansas River. The weather was “HOT” and the fishing was “NOT” with temperatures having been in the triple digits in the past week. Six of the 13 anglers brought fish to the scales with the majority of the fish caught consisting of spotted bass. |

Anvil Jaw Junior Bass Club had their 3rd tournament on Lake Ouachita on Saturday, 9/11/10, at Crystal Springs. Ten junior anglers showed up to tackle the "BIG O". Junior anglers found a good top water bite, but getting the fish to hookup was a challenge. The bite picked up with the approaching front Saturday afternoon. The majority of the keepers were caught in the last hour of the tournament.
1st place and Big Bass Prize was Jonny Schultz with at total weight of 5.35 lbs and Big Bass of 3.76 lbs.
Jace Hill came in 2nd with 3 bass and a total weight of 3.63lbs.
Third place went to Justin Rollans with 1.78 lbs
Christian Threlkeld placed 4th with 1.55 lbs.
